Great news. If only Joe Buck would follow his lead.
McCarver announces his retirement before the season so everyone will kiss his ass all season and tell him how much he will be missed.
The World Series will be brutal to watch, I will be thankfull for the mute button!
Joe Buck is much worse than Tim McCarver IMO, if that's possible. I have the MLB package and watch parts/whole of hundreds of baseball games every year and there are so many entertaining duos out there. I especially liked Len and Bob for the Cubs.

I just can't wait to watch more games. Only a hands count away.
Man, you have no idea how excited I am. I love most sports but not like MLB. This is when I know how much I love baseball.
Same here.
I am a bit bias but Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez, and Ron Darling are a real good group to call a game. Keith is the weakest of the bunch but does have some entertaining throw-ins every once in a while.
Michael Kay is up there as one of the worst too in my opinion. It has nothing to do with it being the Yankees I just think he is terrible.

There aren't many things the Mets do better than the Yankees but announcing, both TV and Radio, the Mets are far superior to the Yanks.
That's one season too many.
Baseball is my favorite. I agree with you that although I love the other sports nothing compares.
