Remember the criteria. Most outstanding player in the game. Hard to argue against OV.

Hart is a different story. Hank Sedin was the most valuable player to his team.

Might want to check the Caps record when OV was out. They didn't miss a beat without him. Doesn't mean he's not the most outstanding player in the game, just not the most valuable.
