Thoughts on Pedro Alvarez?

Would you start him or would you look for better options considering the fact that he is likely to hit between .220 and .240 but the good thing with him is it is likely that he hits between 25 and 35 hr and drive him between 85 and 100 RBI

but to answer, yes, you start him always. He's drafted too high to not be a starting 3B/CI, and you know what you're getting... it just sucks through the ruts, but I guarantee you as soon as you bench him, bye-bye ballie!

To me, the key would be to have someone to offset that low avg. Hopefully you already have one on roster, likely your # 1 base stealer.

After checking out that team, it looks like you set it up to outslug other teams. So, Alvarez fits that bill nicely. And, at only 27, he might still figure out how to hit for a slightly better avg. going forward.

Start him, but also be a responsible owner... If you know you have a BAD BA guy then compensate elsewhere... Unless you are ok giving up on a category...
