1997 Nebraska (#4) better than 1995 Nebraska (#6)?

No fucking way. Jason Parker is an idiot.

95 Nebraska at #6? Haha this team has been called the greatest team of all time and this guy has them at 6 in the past 25 years?

It is one of the greatest teams of all-time, way better than the '97 team. The 2001 Hurricanes belong at the top of this list. I'd personally put the '95 Nebraska team right behind them at #2.

I think they get beat by several teams on there. Mostly because they were so 1 dimensional.

If you lost a game, you don't deserve to be on this list.

LOL. Truly one of the dumbest, most narrow minded statements made by people that know very little about the game of football. But I would expect nothing less from an ignorant texican.

You don't think every opponent knew what Nebraska was going to do offensively? That they didn't stack the box to try and stop it? That Nebraska didn't shove the football up their asses anyway? That Nebraska couldn't throw the ball if they wanted to? That Nebraska didn't have a top defense to go along with that offense?

1995 Nebraska

Rushing Offense #1
Scoring Offense #1
Total Offense #2
Pass Efficiency Offense #17

Rushing Defense #2
Scoring Defense #4
Passes Intercepted #7
Total Defense #13
Pass Eff Defense #21

BTW if the current early Vegas point spreads are correct, 2015 Ohio St will be the only team that has ever rivaled the 1995 Huskers. (win by a minimum 14 points per game)

That would be interesting to see.

2001 Miami....their team speed was absolutely incredible. They would have contained Winston.

Of course they knew, but they didn't face another team in the top 10 of all-time. There is a reason the bone went the way of the dodo bird, but I guess you did not get that memo yet.

They would get beat by much of the current top 10. Game and training have advanced so much. I laugh when people think any team from 20 years ago could have the same success today

When considering all-time greats I always try to put advancements in science and technology in perspective. If you say that no way the 95 Huskers could have the same success today because players are bigger/faster or the playbooks have advanced then you have to ask the question, "Could these teams now do what Nebraska did 20 years ago?". In my opinion, very few, if any, could.

Shhhhhh...All this hype is making me nervous.

LOL. More ignorance by the texican. :L

Nebraska didn't run the Wishbone.

Nebraska ran the Power I Option. That morphed into what is now the Spread Option.

As I stated, you know very little about the game of football.

LOL. Once again the ignorance of the texican (who cannot read) shines.

That's not what the thread is about. It's clearly about individual seasons.

Keep digging. :L
