When I was at Boys Town my room mate told me that when he left Chicago to come to Omaha he thought it was gonna be a jungle and Marlin Perkins was gonna meet him at the bus station.

I think I stole a bike that looked just like this.

You were REALLY cool if you push them handlebars forward really far. And you had to have a wide "slick" on the back.

The commercials during All-Star Wrestling.

A bunch of us kids on Sunday mornings would jump on the bus from the 10th and Bancroft area and ride it down to KETV Channel 7 Studio to see Baron Von Raschke (The Claw) Maddog Vachon Cowboy Bob Ellis Bruno Sammartino and Greg Gagne and others I can't recall. The Baron taught classes at South High School. Maddog frequented the World Famous Waterin Holes of good 'ol South Omaha. Back in the day Omaha was dubbed 'The 'Rasslin Capital of the World. Iron Mike and Ted Dibiase lived in the hood also. My old neighborhood back in thee early to middle 60's and on always seemed just a 'lil cooler and safer when our heroes were around And OMG could we imitate Joe Zwieback. He had showed up before with a cold. Now, THAT was memorable!

Youse guys now gol dang you you did jer job. I kinda peck on my keyboard and it took a while. Made me feel gooder than I did and then you'all brought me all back down to the reality of my own age en sech!
