Sheesh.Duke says linebacker Kelby Brown's college career is over after he tore a knee ligament.
The school said Tuesday that Brown tore his left anterior cruciate ligament last week - the same injury that kept him out for the 2014 season. He is scheduled to have his fourth knee surgery since 2010.
Brown would have been a sixth-year senior after receiving an extra year from the NCAA. He had surgeries on his right knee in 2010 and again two years later, missing the entire 2012 season.
When Bovada.lv released its odds in May on who will win the 2015 Heisman Trophy — and even the previous release in January — Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott was the favorite. Now, though, those odds have changed and there’s a new favorite.
In the odds released by Bovada Tuesday, TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin is listed as the favorite at 6/1. In May, those odds were at 15/2, the same as in January.
Two things. 1) who in the bloody hell didn't make that list? and B) If Malik Zaire, who has exactly one start to his name, is on that list, then the three Ohio State QBS (all of whom have more experience than Zaire) should be there.

Tuesday, interim UM athletic director Jim Hackettrevealed Minick had tendered his resignation shortly after the arrest. Hackett, though, refused to accept it.
“I refused it,” Hackett said according to the Detroit Free Press. “This is a man who served … seven tours of duty (in the Marines). Selflessness is a way I would describe him. He got thousands of emails, most of them from people who served in war with him, urging him to soldier through this. He made a life terrible mistake. He dealt with something that can kill people. People die, either himself or others, from what happened. So the gravity of it was not dismissed at all.
“He and I had deep conversations about it and I was convinced this is a guy who will learn from this mistake.”

The wide receiver confirmed to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that he willtake a visit to Pittsburgh July 20. He has no current plans to visit any other programs, although that could change depending on how his Pitt visit goes.
Andre Powell coached running backs at Maryland in 2014 before moving on to coach Pitt’s special teams under Pat Narduzzi, serving as Winfree’s most direct connection to the Panthers. The Tribune-Review added that “Winfree, who initiated the contact with Pitt, said he has spoken on the telephone with offensive coordinator Jim Chaney and wide receivers coach Kevin Sherman.”
He has yet to be offered a scholarship by Pitt, although a successful visit could flip that particular script.
