Iowa depth takes hit with loss of tight end

Tight end Jameer Outsey, a redshirt sophomore in 2015, has elected to transfer from the University of Iowa and the Hawkeye football program. The announcement was made Friday by head coach Kirk Ferentz.

Utah graduate transfer Stevie Tu’ikolovatu headed to USC

Utah graduate transfer Stevie Tu’ikolovatu won’t be in Salt Lake City anymore, but he will remain in the Pac-12 South.

The defensive tackle announced on Twitter Thursday he’s traded his Utah red for Trojan cardinal.

Syracuse gains, loses graduate transfers

Delaware State graduate transfer Gabe Sherrod announced in March he would take his 64 tackles and 25 tackles for loss — second in the Football Championship Subdivision — to Syracuse for his senior season. Sherrod delayed his arrival late last month and on Saturday announced he would not join the Orange roster at all.

Colorado defensive end DeJon Wilson revealed via Twitter Saturday night he will leave the Buffs to join the Orange this fall.

Miami defender reportedly leaving Coral Gables

Miami (Fla.) announced Tuesday sophomore James King is no longer part of the Hurricanes football team.

The Palm Beat Postreported he was kicked off the team “for off-the-field conduct.”

Southern Miss the landing spot for Louisville grad transfer Devontre Parnell

Devontre Parnell has confirmed to both the Sun Herald and Hattiesburg Americanthat he will continue his collegiate playing career at Southern Miss. Parnell decided earlier this offseason to transfer from Louisville.

Report: Two Tennessee linemen quit the team

According to a report by John Brice and 247Sports, two Tennessee reserve offensive linemen are leaving the program.

Brice indicated that senior tackle Dontavius Blair and sophomore Ray Raulerson quit the team and are looking at transferring down to I-AA programs. Neither player was figured to have a starting role in 2016.

WVU announced in a press release Thursday morning that Sills has decided to transfer out of Mountaineers football program. According to a statement from Dana Holgorsen, Sills is moving on to an unspecified junior college “to pursue his dream of playing quarterback” at the collegiate level.

The Hoosiers announced in a press release that safety Will Dawkins and offensive lineman Tim Gardner have decided to leave Kevin Wilson‘s program. Both players would’ve been redshirt sophomores in 2016, and could’ve been significant contributors this coming season.
