Baylor suspends two JUCO transfers for team rules violations

While the details are very scant at the moment, 247Sports.com is reporting that offensive lineman B.J. Autry and defensive tackle Jeremy Faulk have been suspended from the team for violating unspecified team rules. No other reason for the twin suspensions were given.

Utah WR Kenric Young cited for assault following pool party brawl

According to a report from KSL.com, Utes wide receiver Kenric Young (pictured, No. 24) was cited for assault following a fight at a pool party over the weekend. It’s alleged Young punched an unnamed victim in the face several times after he was told to pull up his sagging pants at an apartment complex pool.

Iowa State sees two players leave the Cyclones

An ISU spokesperson confirmed to the Ames Tribune that quarterback Dom De Liraand defensive tackle Terry Ayeni are no longer on the Cyclones’ roster. Th former has left the football program with the intent to transfer, while the latter has decided not to play his senior season due to injuries.

Pair of 2015 Iowa signees leaving Hawkeyes

On Instagram, linebacker Justin Jinning announced that he has decided to transfer out of the Iowa football program and continue playing elsewhere. “t’s time I pursue some of my other goals in life and take advantage of new doors that have opened in other areas of my life,” a portion of Jinning’s goodbye social media statement read.

In addition to Jinning, it has also been reported that running back Eric Graham is transferring from Iowa as well. According to Rivals.com Graham intends to drop down to the junior college level.

Ex-TCU QB Zach Allen announces transfer to Rutgers

On Twitter Wednesday afternoon, Allen announced that he will be enrolling at Rutgers and playing his football for the Scarlet Knights. As a graduate transfer, Allen will be eligible to play immediately in 2016.

Sun Belt announces creation of title game; last league to do so

Earlier this month, the Big 12 announced that it had voted unanimously to reinstate the conference’s title game following the 2017 regular season. A couple of days later, and following up on multiple reports, the Sun Belt has decided to create its own league championship game, only theirs will wait to kick off until after the 2018 regular season.

Lineman Jacquis Webb transferring from Rutgers to Buffalo

Buffalo lost a transfer to a Big Ten school earlier this week, but it appears the MAC program will gain one from that conference to counter it.

Both 247Sports.com and nj.com have reported that Jacquis Webb has decided to transfer out of the Rutgers football program and continue his playing career elsewhere. And, according to the recruiting website, that elsewhere will be Buffalo.

Although ODU is entering its third season as a Football Bowl Subdivision program, the stadium would be smaller than a pair of state Football Championship Subdivision schools: Norfolk State (28,018) and James Madison (25,000).

But ultimately, the stadium can be expanded to 30,004, said David Harnage, ODU's chief operating officer, "in response to ticket demand."

S. Alabama new home for ex-Mizzou DE Rocel McWilliams

Following up on speculation that preceded it for the past couple of weeks, South Alabama confirmed that McWilliams has signed a grant-in-aid with the university and is enrolled in classes. Because of NCAA transfer bylaws, McWilliams will be forced to sit out the 2016 football season.

Second 2016 Oregon State signee fails to make the grade, won’t play for Beavers

In April, it was reported that Thompson, one of two four-star signees in OSU’s 2016 recruiting class, would not be playing for the Beavers after all because of academic issues. Earlier this week, fellow 2016 signee Tyson Penn tweeted that he is “no longer committed to play football at OSU next season.”

Starting LB Jordan Harris leaving Iowa State as grad transfer

The latest to take this particular attrition hit is Iowa State, which announced in a press release that Jordan Harris (pictured, No. 2) has decided to leave the Cyclones and finish his playing career elsewhere. As a graduate transfer, Harris would be eligible to play immediately in 2016 if that elsewhere is another FBS program.
