Last night the same player, Subban sucker punched the Rangers Captain (McDonagh)after hitting him late and slashing him. He got tossed from the game. I'm willing to bet there were some pretty nasty tweets from a few Ranger fans that had a few drinks

Yep but still don't think that most folks really cared much about those remarks. In any case it will all be forgotten after the game & whatever story lines it provides. The media will then move on to the next flavor-off-the-day story.

Those remarks bothered me and if NY sports radio is any indication I wasn't alone. It seems these days you can't say anything negative about a black person without being labeled a racist.

You have a point. The Boston crowd is a special bunch but I'm not sure how much of it is racism and how much is just assholes saying the most hurtful things they can think of. I lived up there in 1997 and 1998. As a Yankee and Jet fan I don't think it could have gone any worse for me had I been black. I was very happy to move back to NY and civilization.
