This past season, after edging out the Pats on opening day 17-16, the Fins reeled off seven straight losses, including a 35-0 drubbing at the hands of the Bills, a 45-10 beatdown by the Bucs, and, maybe worst of all, a loss to Jacksonville ... at 1-7. the Fins then benefitted from playing the Jets twice, the Texans, Panthers and Giants ..

While clinging to slim playoff chances with two weeks remaining, the Fins laid an egg, losing to Tennessee 34-3 ...

Perhaps most telling is Flores' comments leading up to the 2020 game vs The Broncos ( a game in which the then 3-6 Broncos won, with the score not really indicative of the Broncos domination with Tua being benched mid way through )

“That interview was – I remember it vividly," Flores said Wednesday. "It was just great for me to – just from doing my own background work – learn more about the Denver Broncos and their history and the Bowlen family and the great history that they have there as an organization. I was excited to interview with them. I thought it went well. It was just great to meet obviously the executives there and spend some time with them. I think Vic’s a great coach. They’ve got the right coach and the right people in place. It’s a talented team, that’s for sure. It was a good experience for me personally.”

Only after another failed season and a pink slip has Flores come forward with these allegations .. Allegations based on how rumpled John Elway's shirt looked, never mind the fact that the Broncos had handed the reigns over to Vance Joseph for the previous two seasons ( the first back-to-back losing season for the Broncos since 1971/72 )

The Dolphins actually regressed from 2020 to 2021, not simply in wins and losses, but in how they performed vs quality teams .. and for a third year head coach who has yet to sniff the playoffs, this alone is grounds for dismissal ...

So three years after the fact, let's blame John Elway and Joe Ellis ....
