Yep, this might just be the year that the Wings DON'T make the playoffs. I thought this team was built for speed, ha. Looked like they were skating in sand theses 2 games. And Mike Green, again, is just plain terrible. Farewell to THE JOE and bye bye playoffs.

Green, Smith and Ericsson have had flashes of competence these first few weeks. ...Just enough for Holland to think this D corps is good enough this year. Might have rather had them utterly fail so he will pull the trigger on a trade for one of the decent D-men on the market (Shattenkirk, Fowler, Trouba).

This team will never be any better than a borderline playoff team without significantly upgrading the D.
