Keith whapped Daniel on the hip with a slash just as he was scoring and then Daniel tripped over Crawford's pad and fell down. Ref did not call it (because the goal was in before the arm could go up, I am assuming). Seems everyone thinks that Daniel's legs were separated from his body by the slash.

jstew posted it in the Shanaban thread if you want to see it. Apparently it is an outrage. Keith should be banned, fined and shot. But Hannah Montana playing reporter is just fine.

Keith deserved two for the slash and a bit of ridicule for being snarky and using the wrong words. No reason to riot or anything.

Boss, I think Canucks fans still want their pound of flesh from Duncan Keith for his head shot on Daniel Sedin and he did give a pretty good two-hander to Daniel after he scored last night. Maybe these two teams will meet again in the playoffs, if it's anything like last night's game, it would be a fun series.

I mean, as a female, I didn't like that he automatically jumped to the old "you throw like a GIRL" mantra. I hate that because I know (well, prior to shoulder injuries) I could out throw plenty of guys. Just because I never played the game doesn't mean I can't understand it. I agree that in playing comes a greater understanding, but not all understanding. I didn't play because girls teams DIDN'T EXIST when I was younger. So, I chose my sports and went on my way. (This isn't directed at you by the way, just at the chauvinistic "girls suck at sports" idea).

And if you're talking about the OP, not really a big deal, just amazingly poor reporting and holy crap fire that editor.

Gotcha. Well, in that case, he was just being an ass. I don't think he's part of the Rascal's women hater club or anything, but I still hold my right to think he's a prick

I think its its worthy of a fine

or maybe the NHL is waiting for some sort of physical assault by a canuck as retribution for the cheap shots (as all canucks fans are)

Slashes after every whistle, face washes after every play, trying to bait guys into taking penalties, there was almost guaranteed to be some sort of altercation during line changes, extra shots behind the play etc. Elias never gets pissed and he was ready to blow a gasket in that game. I know every team does this to a degree but they were the most relentless that I saw, and just about everbody seemed on board with it.

PK Subban was the worst individual offender that I saw.
