The weather and geography (beaches, deserts, mountains within an hour from me) are worth the price. Not a day goes by I don't think how lucky I am to live somewhere like this. I live closer to Palm Springs than LA so for me, the weather is utter perfection here. Warmer than LA but cooler than Palm Springs. Perfect!

Not going to get much better than Manhattan Beach or La Jolla.

We intended to move about 6-7 years ago and thought about Colorado and here's the conclusion we came to: Why move to Colorado? Just go all the way and go to Wyoming or Montana! Colorado is overrated.

Yep. Escondido is north SD County and some of the best weather in the world. They grow/traffic allot of very high-quality marijuana in the surrounding mountains, which tends to make rates of crime and violence higher.

We see the Quakes play about 4-5 times a year when they come play the Padres AAA affiliate at Lake Elsinore. They're the only team that always brings a bunch of fans with them.

I have driven to downtown LA before in 55 minutes and it has also taken me 5 hrs. You just never know.
