Kiss. December 1992. Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA. Turns out, without the make-up and pyrotechnics they kinda suck.

LOL. Alice in Chains. Lollapolooza 93' I think??

Staley was so fucking shitfaced, he was making up lyrics, most of which were just fart noises and crude words. I watched him drink almost two fifths of Jack in like a 45 minute set.

Not exactly rock, but I saw Neil Diamond at the Grand Opening of Warhawk Stadium in Whitewater, WI in 70 or 71. Reserved seating and I ended up 2 rows from the PA with it blocking my view of the stage

Only concert I ever walked out on.

Pat Travers opened and they blew the roof off the place. Cheap Trick came out and just seemed to be going through the motions. Huge let down in energy.

I saw cheap trick once, and agreed. Probably the most boring band I’ve seen.

Mmnnah. His music just blows, live or not

I'm not big on the music but the concert vibe is a whole lot different. It's like being at a bar that holds 20,000 people.

Man, that's the only year I ever went to that. Went to see Dinosaur, Jr. Thought they were great. Never been a big Primus fan, though they were tight live, put on a pretty good show.

Same. Primus is excellent live, ALWAYS. I have seen them 2 dozen times probably, and they always put on a good show. Dino Jr was great too. I enjoyed Fishbone and Rage was pretty freshfaced at that point.

Tool on the sidestage, prolly only had a hundred people or so watching em'.

AiC was such a disappointment, aside from the funny story to tell.

It's a toss up between two.

Saw Drivin N Cryin like 7 years ago and they were terrible. Sounded so bad, it was almost comical, but also a bit sad since I am a fan of their music. They made up for it last year when they opened up for Drive By Truckers and put on a great show. Guess they were just off the first time I saw them, or maybe I was drunker the second time around.

And the second isn't rock, but was was still a concert. Conway Twitty's retarded son, Michael was opening up for George Jones, and he had some fat bitch trying to be Loretta Lynn. They were so terrible. Michael didn't have Conway's vocal range, an it was just pathetic to see, and to make it worse they went on well past their time, and eventually the venue had to shut the power off because George Jones was threatening to leave. It would have sucked at the time, but in hindsight, I wish George would have just left. I'd already seen George multiple times before and saw him a few times afterwards, but if he would have left, I would have had my very own No Show Jones story that he was so notorious for back in his alcoholic days. An old Fannation story was going to see him at a show in Austin back in the 70's, but when it came time for the show, he was nowhere to be found, and word got around that he was spotted headed for San Antonio on a Harley with a cocktail waitress riding on the back.

And on the flip side when I was 20 I went with a group of friends to a Kid Rock concert. I'm still not a Kid Rock fan, and I went in with very low expectations and was just planning on getting drunk and hopefully get laid by one of the girls in the group, but I have to admit, the dude put on a good concert.

I saw White Zombie in Vegas on Halloween night, 1995, shroomed out of my head.

The Cramps, The Toadies and The Voluptous Horror of Karen Black opened. If you've never heard of the last one, google it....she/they were weird af. 4 naked chicks painted in day-glo, prancing around with like cut-out props en shit. I was tripping and it came off as annoying af. The Toadies blew through their set in an unmemorable fashion, and then the Cramps apparently were just pissed off at the crowd in general...Lux Interior climbed the huge stack of speakers and proceeded to dry hump the speakers while deep-throating the mic and just throat punched the audience with just white fucking noise for like 30 straight minutes. I remember laughing at the hipsters that didn't know if they should like it or not. lulz

Oh, and White Zombie sucked pretty bad both times I've seen em. Rob Zombie has so much fucking shit on, and runs around so goddamned much, that it's basically just him catching his breath into the microphone for the whole show.

Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, REO Speedwagon, 38 Special and Georgia Satellites outdoors at the Apple River in Somerset Wisconsin June 20th 1993

The band I wanted to see most was Blue Oyster Cult and they were absolute garbage, best band of the day was Georgia Satellites.
