I think we lose Carol when we do finally meet Negan. The group has escaped too many close calls this season for something big not to happen in the finale.

I disagree. The world is not ready for Morgan's philosophy yet. Society needs to be more stable for his philosophy to work.

Rick is Shane on steroids, though. No question about that.

Is this the TV truth? Will they make "Negan" just some guy with the title?

Why do the Saviors believe they are the good guys? I am not sure even "our group" REALLY believes they are the "good guys". They are just survivors. The Saviors seem to have real loyalty and believe they are the good ones. If "Negan" is just some kind of communal belief structure, that is quite a change from the books.

Interesting. In the preview for next week, Abe and Eugene looked like they were outside the walls. Maybe my prediction is off and they go with the source. Maybe Tara and Heath really are taking the rest of the season off.

Solid episode. The tension was high, but it's what I expected in that it's slowing down a bit before the finale. Granted, the pace we were going at so far the back end of the season was just insane.

We are 5 eps into the second half of the season and all 5 have been AT LEAST a B+ or better. Tonight's episode was amazing, but still probably the weakest of the half season. Probably still a top-20 for the show as a whole, though.

For the show, "Negan" is a title, not a name. We will still the book's Negan, only different. And the Saviors are not the same as in the books, apparently.

I think he bought that it was Negan, especially with the look on Carol's face, which to me said "wait no... oh well :/

I gotcha. Well, didn't they already kinda do that with the "Governor"? His name was Phillip, but he took the title because he wanted it and people blindly followed him for awhile.
