Abraham seems all-in, to saving the world, so it seems to me he'd keep Eugene safe, even IF he told him what he knows. It could be some complex shit that only Eugene could perform anyway, so Abraham would still have to ensure his arrival to DC. BUT, tell Abraham the basic premise, so that he can at least inform another scientist where to start IF by some crazy chance he's killed in crossfire or whatever other multitude of dangers there are in this world.

While I'm on Eugene...anybody noticing him looking ill? Almost looked yellow in this last one. And Glen and maggie and them ALL looked ill in the cart. Like they'd seen something awful, or EATEN something awful.

But then again, that could be what they want us to think and when it comes time, he actually does know how to stop it or what caused it. But i'm not buying it.

For the record, Kirkman has said numerous times that he does not want to deal with the origins of the ZA.

I will attempt to avoid discussing the route the comics took with this arc in a non-comics/spoiler thread...

Thing is, there's really only one for "The Walking Dead" to end - with the end of the zombie apocalypse.

All shows eventually go off the air - and it will happen to TWD sooner or later.

I just don't believe he knows what happened, I really believe he's using it as a scapegoat since he wont make it on his own. But idk, we'll see. Just don't spoil anything.

nah...it was probably just due to the darker lighting inside the railcar.

I'm trying to figure the time line between glen/abe's group arrival at terminus and now rick's group.
(maybe a few days?)

That being said.....if the terminus peeps keep broadcasting over the airwaves....you'd think eventually some military or government installation within the broadcast radius will pick up on it and triangulate their location. I'm thinking that will come into play at some point next season.

That seems like the likely end to the series but I wouldn't say it's the only way it could end.

For example, it could also end with the end of the human race, or at least an end to all of the shows characters. I'd consider that the next most likely way for it to end.

It could also end with our survivors becoming more knowledgeable about it and learning how to control it somewhat, as oppose to just appearing to have found a safe place to hide.

There could also be an actual zombie apocalypse in real life and the show is forced to come to an abrupt end before schedule.

I actually thought season 2 and 3 were a bit slow and almost bordering mediocre, but I loved season 1 and season 4. Season 2 felt more like farmhouse drama and season 3 had it's moments but felt slow to me at times. This most recent season has been the best IMO. Was really fast moving and I was getting a bit tired of the prison, the way they sent it out was appropriate.

Prior to season 4 I felt as if the show was kept alive primarily by an interesting concept that outweighed the average acting and mediocre writing, but the character development and dialog improved a ton in season 4 IMO. The writers have found a way of making Michonne a much more likeable character and Carl is less annoying now.

Here's hoping Season 5 will have all the bloodshed I crave, they have a great opportunity to get intense with the script.

Most definitely Michonne's sword, followed closely by Daryl's crossbow.....and Rick's pistol way behind in distant 3rd.

I think Rick's pistol will come into play hugely for the group to escape Terminus. They made of point of focusing on Rick choosing to put the gun in the bag that he buried instead of taking it into Terminus. Somehow is he going to get it back and kill some his captors.

I doubt they all survive whatever escape route they choose, or maybe they're rescued. Carol and Tyrese are still somewhere close by. I think someone mentioned the military being able to pinpoint their location. It can go any number of ways but I hope it's brutal for the most part.

Oh it's definitely going to get brutal. All Rick needs to do is find a way to get back to his bag that he buried and it's a wrap. There's a reason why he buried it before going in.

Would not surprise me

No question they will get back to the bag. My only question is how long the Termites will last. Will this be an 8-ep arc, or a full 16-ep arc?

Assuming the Termites are essentially the Hunters (I think it is safe to make that assumption), they will need to introduce a LOT of fresh material if they make it a 16-ep arc. IIRC, the Hunters only lasted one trade pub. FWIW, the Termites are different enough from the Hunters that it is completely foreseeable that they could last 16 eps.

I don't read the comics, thus, having no idea over here. lol

I think by around episode 8 we'll see the demise of the Termites, at least i'm hoping so.

I'm concerned about how many of Rick's members will make it out alive. Don't spoil anything either, please :)

They stray enough from the comics in the show, that it is hard to spoil, except in very vague, wide-arching ways. For example, Andrea is still alive in the comics and is a very major character. Also, it was a different character that was killed by the Gov with the sword in the comics. Dale was still alive in the comics at this point in the story. Beth, Tara and Daryl do not exist in the comics.

That said, I do believe there are a few characters that are important enough (at least short-ish term) that they cannot be killed yet. I will refrain from those types of spoilers (or at least I will try).

I think that the battle with the Termites could end up being quite bloody. "Worst" case scenario, I can see 11 characters who COULD be killed, but I would expect up to about 6 of the current crop of "good guys" biting it in the coming season.

The "Good Guys", right now are...

Rick
Carl
Michone

Daryl
Beth

Maggie
Sasha
Bob

Glenn
Tara

Abraham
Rosita
Eugene

Carol
Tyreese
Judith

I consider 5-7 of these to be "untouchable".
