I'm still pissed that Lange was taken off tv coverage. Just swap Steiggy/Errey and Lange/Bourque and all would be right in the world.

Errey & Steigy are fine. The Doobster enjoys their commentary. I have no problems with Jack Edwards either.

I can handle any announcer in the league with the exception the Pens guys and Jack Edwards and his butt buddy on NESN.

I'd rather listen to Roseanne Barr call a game while she defoliated her skin with a belt sander than be subjected to the "talents" of any of the above fucktards.

Errey isn't terrible, he just has to work off the hogwash that Steiggy spews. Steiggy is 1a/1b with Edwards for me in regards to worst in the league.

The issue with Errey he seems like he tries too hard with the innuendo's.

Steigy has to be the worst announcer I ever listened to for hockey at any level.

Exactly. There is nothing wrong with regional broadcasters being a bit homerish but the Likes of Steiggy and Edwards are just bad.

I mean Mike Lange loves the Pens and maybe favours them in his commentary but he's entertaining.

Mario knows what he's doing, he's making sure everyone who watches the Pens are on the Pens side, and if you don't like it you could order Center Ice or Game Center, which will earn the league more revenue.

I remember NHL 93, I used to score goals with Errey almost as often as I used to score goals with Mario. Always been a big Bob Errey fan.

I remember (this is a few years back, circa 2009) him saying the following:

Welcome to post-original 6 hockey Bob. When I tune into an NHL game I expect something somewhat enlightening from an analyst. He offers nothing of the sort.

I don't buy it. The owner of the team has a say. Billy Jaffe had a deal done with Dolan to stay on as the Isles color commentator. Wang stepped in & said he didn't want Jaffe to be the color anylyst anymore. The reason Wang felt this way was because he didn't like the fact that Jaffe tells it like it is. Now we have Butch Goring as our color anylyst. Butchie has had more than his share of tongue twisting moments. We call them Butchisms. Of course I'm still amazed Howie Rose is the play by play guy. A couple of years ago Howie said "Is it Baseball Season yet?" He had no idea they were still on the air. He even said Oh we're still on the air? LOL!! It was priceless. I mean you can't make this stuff up. Only the Islanders.
