They had to suspend him or the media/ social backlash would have been out of control. Tbh it should have been time served but it is what it is. At least they did the right thing and didn’t fire him

I'm probably in the minority on this. But, I think he should have been fired or fully reinstated.

This looks more like a save face act...and it ends up looking worse.

Other than costing these two some money (they have plenty) and saving tOSU some money, what in the ever loving hell does this accomplish?

I would say given what the committee said he should have been fully reinstated. They really didn't find any actual wrong doing, just thoughts there was more they both could have done. Those are not the same thing. I've read the president has some issues with the athletics department? I don't know, but this seems weird.

I got that it was more about not taking what they both knew and passing it along to the title ix or whatever department for them to consider if an internal investigation was warranted. They were both largely suspended for not passing it along.
