I didnt realize it was this bad (i mean the scoring compared to 06-07) ... but remember back then in 06-07 how overwhelmingly happy and surprised we all were with the victories ... it was a joke that they couldnt score, a running gag ... they never scored but Luongo stopped almost everything and they won ... now ... they never score and Luongo stops almost everything and they lose


The realization that the 06-07 team scored more than this one works like a wrecking ball to the gut

At least then, as JPats pointed out, we had the novelty of Roberto Luongo’s first season.

This season is being lost in a vortex of injuries, exhausted top players, fringe players who don’t practice enough to stay sharp, and a defence that appears to be getting slower by the day.

I’m sure (hope) it will be different when/if Henrik is healthy.

But right now, it’s a vicious cycle without an obvious exit strategy.
