Like him. This team has shown a level of no quit that they haven't had in sometime I attribute that to Torts bringing it out. Not sure how long it will last but I like it a lot

How long though? I want at least 2 to 3 years if this but I see many injuries we have never been really durable

gotta preface it by saying its early

i thought it would be a trainwreck but thats before i learned how loose with the facts new york media are ... they pretty much spun him into being the prick everyone views him as

ive posted it in various threads ... i think he gets the most out of his players ... he gives them positive reinforcement and gets hard on them iif they arent contributing ... hes a dog lover ... he treats/trains his players like dogs ... they will be loyal lol

Vigneault was one montone voice who provided little feedback to players ... i really am wishing this coaching switch could have happened after la took the canucks out 2 years ago

i said before ... torts says it like it is ... has he made a wrong move so far this year

the only thing i can point to is overplaying the stars .. its not sustainable ... but gillis will have to find the players who ae good enought for torts to start backing off the ice time of the big 3

or the 3rd and 4th liners need to step up and gain torts trust

canucks have much better personnel than the rangers do ... torts got the most out of the rangers with his coaching style

with vigneault the rangers are totally lost ... zero to little guidance

give it a couple more weeks and the rags players will be wishing they had torts back

where did he wear out his welcome before ? he's not mike keenan ... he lasts 5 years with teams

if the sedins stay torts will last a long time here ... he can just ride them ... they are 2 professionals who roll with the punches

torts is giving them everything they ever wanted

increased ice time ... check
playin on the pk ... check
confidence to have defensive zone starrts ... check

im all for the use of zone starts but the way vigneault utlized the sedins ... he was basically telling them he didnt trust them defensively ... that he thought they were 1 dimensional players ... where was the trust there? the way the sedins might be perceived aroound the league as soft defensively stemms fro the way vigneault utlized them
