3rd down - jet sweep right to Speilman 3 yard gain

2 sweeps and an attempt to run off tackle for very little to nothing.

I agree with those that Mich is still the low. Should we have won, yes. But Northwestern isn't a horrible football team. Frost made mistakes, offensive players made mistakes, defensive players made mistakes, refs made a lot of mistakes, everyone made mistakes that cost us that game. U can't hang it on one thing. Offense should have scored more. Someone on defense needs to step up and make a damn play. Particularly on the DL. A pass rush would have ended that game a lot earlier. That is what these coaches really need to go find.

I'm personally going to just keep giving them time. We knew it would be a struggle. We were hoping it would be quicker but we just don't have anyone on D in particular that wants to be big time.

Running wide twice into the boundary was stupid, Ozigbo runs best straight ahead and has all year. All they needed was 1 first down but instead ended up with 3 & 10 and ran for 3 yards. Earlier the Huskers threw and interception on a first down after Ozigbo ran through the NW defense to get the ball to the 30ish yard line and that throw was into triple coverage.

They better figure out what needs to happen to improve the defensive backfield. Seems like every 3 and 10 or 20 means nothing as the coverage sucks and the opponent gets a first down.
