It's not even close. He's head and shoulders above anyone else.

SportsHoopla is going to have a intervention for you, if you don't snap out of it. Fitz isn't #1 in anyones book anymore.

Why? It's reality. He does not have a single weakness and has by far the best range and the best hands in the league.

Because he's not 25 anymore, still a great receiver, but not #1 . Find one source that rates him as the #1 receiver anymore, he just isn't, yet you keep going on that he is, makes you sound foolish.

Why do I need another source? Hands are by far the most important part of a receivers skill set, and range is next. Fitz is best in the league at both and is at the elite level of just about every important skill for a receiver. It should be obvious to all that he's head and shoulders above everyone. No one else is as complete and most aren't even better at more than one thing.

Fitz's production doesn't justify a #1 ranking.

Most possession receivers have good hands. He doesn't gain yards anymore, that's a weakness.

He has a joke of a team. You can't produce without catchable balls. It's not possible.

Weak.

CJ was on the only 0-16 NFL team in '08 and had basically the same amount of catches as Fitz last year, but with 400 more yards and more TDs. And he had some scrubs throwing him the ball. So in summary, it's very possible.

What? He's a possession receiver now JDM. Only one receiver out of the 25 with more yards averaged less per catch. Plenty of Tight Ends are more of a big play threat at this stage.

The only guy he has had with an arm resembling capable of throwing it down the field was Warner. You can't be a vertical threat with a guy lucky to get it 20 yards down the field throwing it. Palmer has no arm strength.

You cant find a veteran starter worse than Carson Palmer. It's impossible. But Palmer only threw shortage to Larry for one season. His own teammate got 4.5 more yards per grab. Id still take Larry gladly. He's Top Ten IMO. But there were plenty better than him this season. And There will be more next year.

Look JDM, I think most of us would concede that Palmer doesn't have the same arm strength he use to and the QBs before him were lacking, but most of us also can see the Larry isn't as good as he once was. He certainly isn't the #1 in the NFL. Time for you to quit making excuses for your hero's and be a bit more realalist. That includes RG3.

You make a lot of excuses for your hero's.

More productive, sure. Better? Absolutely not. With money as no object and the assumption that you can't have any of them longer than 5 years (so youth isn't overrated) I take Larry over everyone no questions asked.

It's not an excuse if it's true.

When you factor out situation, no one is better than Fitzgerald at WR, and no one has a brighter potential future than RG3. Bad franchises and the effect that those franchises and the specifics of how they are bad have on guys have to be considered when addressing their production.

Your not one to ask questions. It's telling that Cards fans are quiet and the same goes for Redskins fans in regard to RG3. I would guess that fans from those teams have a better idea of how good or not there players are then you.

Your just a hard head who refuses to concede.

Yeah, from Jon Kitna, Dan "I run out of the end zone" Orlovsky, and Drew Stanton? Yes, I'm sure they all threw more catchable balls. Give it a rest son.

Based on what? He finished this season tied for tenth in touchdowns and 26th in yards. And before you tell me it's because of his quarterback, Carson Palmer threw for the 8th most yards in the NFL this year, and had the 20th best QB rating. He was a middle of the road, maybe SLIGHTLY below average QB last year. And there are plenty of good receivers that play with below average QBs. In fact, here's a list of receivers who had more yards than Fitz with comparable or worse quarterbacks throwing to them:

Josh Gordon (Campbell/Weeden/Hoyer),
A.J. Green (Dalton),
Andre Johnson (Schaub/Keenum),
Pierre Garcon (Griffin/Cousins),
Vincent Jackson (Freeman/Glennon),
Kendall Wright (Locker/Fitzpatrick),
Michael Floyd (Palmer),
Hartline (Tannehill),
Cruz (E. Manning)

He just isn't as good as he used to be. It isn't that hard to see.
