I agree with that. The Mets' ineptitude is almost legendary.

I came from FN, and I used to LOVE it when a Mets fan would try to give me shit about the Indians. I'd tell them that the Mets very existence makes me feel better about being an Indians fan. They'd laugh. Then I'd show them the teams' performances over the last 25-30 years, and what the two teams had spent in that time relative to their divisions and leagues. Then the Mets fans would stop laughing.

That should be very concerning to Red Sox fans, and very encouraging to Phillies fans. History has proven time and time again that spring training games mean everything.

Not 1 but 2 of the Sox alleged starters were torched. Let's put it this way, it may not be bad news but it certainly is not good news.

This. I'd have a hard time calling any spring results bad or good news. There's a shitload of baseball ahead in 2015, and most of the games the players will actually care about winning, as opposed to spring games.
