People need to not underestimate the impact a halftime performance can have upon a game or a season.

In 2012, the Texans went 12-4.

In 2013, the Texans had Vanilla Ice as their halftime performer at their home opener.

They went on to lose 14 straight.

Especially when it became a "show" instead of music. Cavorting about on stage has zero appeal to me.

I thought that both sides hated the NFL. The conservative types because of the anthem protests & the more liberal folks because Kaepernick isn't playing. Oh well - who cares - the halftime shows kind of suck & they are mainly intended for non-football fans.

Atlanta has such a huge music tradition and should have had some local acts

But than again this is a city that still employs Matt Ryan
