continuing on coaching talk i guess.. flyers just fired their AHL coach.. people talking about the possibility of lapierriere taking over now that his NHL contract is finally up.. riley cote and derian hatcher are also former players that have been heavily involved with the flyers young guys this season

I don't like that fit. They need someone to continue the disciplined approach, but I think the guys get that and the offense needs a kick start more than anything.

I like it. Not his fault IMO the players gave a half hearted effort in the first 3 game against L.A. And besides, if we were going to replace him, who out there is better?

twas 2 year extension on his remaining year. basically the team is saying git er done in the next 2 and no 1 and out next year.

Im very ok with it. I get mad at him and first reaction is to blame the coach but he had the top team going into the playoffs 2 years in a row. almost every year for him is over 100 pts. a SCF appearance and has really brought this team well into elite status. glad he has one more chance

why? because one team said they can't take him. you underestimate the GMs in this league especially Gillis.

I'm just looking at it from the other perspective, you can get much more in return by trading Cory to help push the Canucks over the hump, and Bobby Lou is still a top 10 goalie in this league.
