Love it when Steelers fans eat crow. BTW, every team has injuries. The job of the HC is to coach up the team to handle this. Unfortuntely, Mike Tomlin is a very overrated HC. If he didn't have Dick LeBeau as his DC, he wouldn't of won any super bowls and probably would be out of coaching by now. But it's okay, Ben will blame Bruce Arians for this game and try to get him fired again. That is the problem with Tomlin, he can't even get his star QB and OC to get along.

Bruce Arians??? Oh silly me, I forgot it's 2011 still isn't it?

A successful troll requires you get every fact straight that way we can't turn it around and mock you for your own stupidity. Just an FYI pea brain, but Arians is the HC of the Cardinals. He hasn't been on the Steeler sidelines in two years. Maybe you missed that while watching the Jets suck for the past two seasons :tsk:

Whoops Todd Haley, still doesn't matter. Steelers really suck. Watched both Jets and Steelers yesterday, and I would push the panic button if I was you. It's okay, most "fans" will bail after week 6 the way this is going. Still can't figure out why Felix Jones wasn't given a shot to "improve" on that .8 yards rushing average.

Yeah, meanwhile your HC was positively giddy about a win over the Bucs.

Trash Big Ben all you want - when last we met in the post season, we won. Your D couldn't stop the guy. Right?

The Jets have gone 8-8 two years now so you really have no room to talk.

Watch Tennessee Titans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers [09/08/2013] - NFL.com

Net yards rushing - 32.

Yeah.....THIRTY TWO!

And three turnovers. 2 from "I want buttered popcorn as a pregame meal" Redman and one from Big Ben.

After seeing our offense couldn't generate anything, the Titans wisely started keeping 6 men in to protect Locker. They didn't care if they got points so long as they burned the clock.

Our offense went nowhere - fast.

This was about as pathetic as I've ever seen the offense perform. Everyone on the O side of the ball needs to give back their game checks. They didn't earn it. They got boo'd at home and as well they should have.

We're in trouble.

My thoughts on the game...after watching it live I found nothing really to be positive about aside from the DEF...I watched the DVR of again and came away with these thoughts.

OFC...the OL play was not that bad in the 1st half...Beachum held his own @ C. The 2 sacks in the 1st half were both on Ben imo...just don't have time to pump fake and pull the ball down every play.

After Redman put the ball on the ground twice, and LSH was injured, they abandoned the running game in the 2nd half and there were more OL breakdown in pass protection. Without Miller the TE position was only targeted once...and zero targets to Paulson and he's supposed to be the pass catching guy.

They have resigned, or will be resigning Dwyer more than likely...but imo Tomlin needs to shake that locker room up...I would release Redman today. Mistakes won't be tolerated this yr.

DEF...I thought they looked pretty good...11 pass completions and only 70 yd rushing for CJ...I would predict a win 10 out of 10 times...turnover were the difference...fortunate the AFCN took the 1st week off.

Good post. What I took away from this game is that even with an atrocious showing by the OFC, the DEF kept them in it until the end. I expect that will continue for this unit. Even with the loss of Foote, there are simply too many veterans on that side of the ball for them to drop off.

Really impressed with Mclendon. He dominated the point of attack and controlled the potent rush attack of the Titans. Troy and Ryan Clark also played okay. Timmons looked good, and Woodley recorded his first sack.

When the NYJ win something of note, or you beat that team head to head...then, and only then should you ever venture onto another team's board to talk shit. It must really be sad to be playing for 2nd place in SEPT in your DIV EVERY year.

Yep...we've seen the OFC look ragged before and come around...the DEF has the chance to be better than LY if you ask me. Yes, McClendon is a different kind of NT...he's much quicker than Casey and darted into the backfield a couple of times. Jones made a splash play on CJ as soon as he got in.

Foote...idk what they will do yet, but I've heard they might play Worilds, Woodley and Jones a little. Jones was lined up inside on a few plays yesterday. They may sign McFadden off the OAK practice squad if Sylvestor is still not ready.

I fail to see how that is "on the bright side"... That would be a mistake if you ask me. You can't replace a 3rd down RB with another downhill runner like Dwyer. That would put them in the same boat as last season. It would be smarter to bring back Baron Batch to fill LSH's void or let Felix fill that spot (even Alexander off of PS). The only reason they would want to resign Dwyer would be to replace Redman, or to fill Felix's spot if they move him to 3rd down duties.
It was a tongue-in-cheek comment. I don't think it matters who is in the backfield, this team is not going to run effectively. Should sign the best blocker they can find so Ben can stay upright for 3 seconds. No RBs, no WRs, no OL... Do they know that Ben alone can not win games? And speaking of WRs where is the rookie who's supposed to replace Wallace?

This team is nothing but questions. Why is Worilds starting? Where is the rookie WR that's supposed to replace Wallace? WTF is with the O-line after using (wasting) all those high picks? Is Pouncey the only O-lineman worth a crap? Feel free to add your own.

Eh, we had a crap team to start with. 30% of our starters would be backups anywhere else and the majority of our backups should be in the CFL, AFL or at home. I was hoping for 8-8 or 9-7...

The QB and OC (who is Todd Haley btw) don't get along because the OC is a waste of space. And I really think that Tomlin has zero capability to judge talent.

STEVENSON SYLVESTER should be a serious thought at ILB. He knows the system, has played in the system, and can contribute in a big way.

If his ankle is good to go I would think he would be the 1st guy called, or I would sign McFadden off the OAK PS.

Good analysis. I agree, Tomlin needs to shake things up a bit. I posted my thoughts on the "Week One vs. TN" thread

Our lack of offensive production made the Titans look like the '85 Bears. We were on the goal line, it was a GIFT....Redman fumbles. WTG!

He liked it so much he did it again later. You'd think at some point he'd learn to protect the ball. You know...like it would actually be IMPORTANT to him or something?

Had we punched it in, we would have been up 9-0 and the game would have been much different. I doubt we lose.

We seem to be picking up right where we left off last year and that's not a good thing. We need to find a running game and fast.

I'm honestly surprised that Tomlin kept Redman in there after the fumbles. I'd have cut him on the spot after the second one. Protect the ball? How gauche!

I'm over Redman too. Not sure what the coaches still see in him. He doesn't have homerun speed so by default he is a short yardage back but he can't hold the ball soooo.... Why is he even in the league anymore? If we did cut him, I don't see any teams picking him up & even if they did, he would be riding the pine.

Is it too soon to start the "lay down for the Clown'" talks???

Just kidding, but I'll give it a few more weeks before my optimism runs out.

Obviously the Titans tried on the opening kickoff but proceeded to suck less than the Steelers.

Yeah he isn't good. There are enough warm bodies out there in the FA world that would be a huge upgrade over Redman.

Can you edit the word "huge" in this sentence into bold, italics and underline? Throw in some red font color too... Thanks

But seriously...Redman didn't lose the game, but his play contributed greatly and he's just not good enough to tolerate those kinds of mistakes.
