Holy shit... Desmond's OPS is .298. That's unbelievably bad.
hope we see a shit ton of that from Derek all year

Im disappointed in his offense so far but I am pleased with what he brings defensively, so I see him as an asset more than a deficiency at this point, even if he hasnt hit much
That's true, but being slotted in the 5 or 6 spot in the lineup is going to have to be reevaluated if he doesn't start hitting.
Winning 2 in a row vs the Mariners is always fun. Hate those fuckers.
Great game all around tonight! I think it's no coincidence that the lineup was churning with a lot of the younger players in there and the absence of one black hole who usually plays 1st base and shall not be mentioned by name.
I think the line up card will displease some people tomorrow. Just a hunch.
DDJ and Mazara saw 51 pitches between them last night.
That all by itself will wear on a pitcher (s).

That's impressive.
Desmond could stand to be moved down, and Mitch could stand to be non existent until Rua cools down. You mean you, don't ya?
I'm all for Rua getting more ab. But I'm not discarding your favorite player either.

I agree on Desmond for sure. In fact, it might help him as well as us to do so.
This from jta.........."Mitch at least has hits in his last 6 games, and been on base in every game, just needs to quit striking out so much."
But you know me, I've been high on Rua for a long time, and want to see him get as many ab as possible. Him getting some swings while manning LF would work too.
50% K rate is pretty awful. Either way Mitch or Desmond do not need to be hitting 5th right now. Elvis might as well do that until he cools down.
