Little surprised I have heard/read anything about the two terrific plays Mazara made last night.

Just heard Banister talking about him and I believe this is a quote, "if he continues to learn and work on his footwork, I think he's got a chance to become an above avg OF."
Was he watching the same game we were.

I don't know if Banister was trying to tamp down all the expectations or what. But it caught me a little off guard.

Swear, I don't think Choo catches either one of those balls Mazara caught. Of course, just b/c you make a better catch than Choo doesn't make you a great RF. ha ha

Hey, cheap shot at Mr Choo, I know. And like I've made perfectly clear, I like Choo and look forward to getting him back and healthy.

Mazara 2 in the lineup is a telling sign that he may not go down. Gallo hit several places but usually not that high if I remember correctly
Re Grant. It is all re the entertainment and click bait. Not as hard core BB guy as Fraley and not as bias ago andr youth. He will be all about Joey once he makes it back up clean. Nothing to see sirs. Move along

Back to Mazara. Maybe hey don't worry re service time and just extend him at some point. He looks like a complete player. Heard the 2 spot is for your best hitter. He fits that bill in the long run for sure. Yes those catches were impressive.

No rua? Damn......

Has Desmond missed a game yet? He could use a day off the way he has been playing. The banny rooster should've found some way to keep Rua in there.

I thought the same thing

agreed....Desmond should sit a couple outta the next 5 or so. This may be more about a manager showing support to the new guy

I'm more inclined to think Elvis should be in there more than Rua.

EA just may need a day off, but IDK this.

Banister seems somewhat intent on keeping his bench players involved. But for me, Rua's in LF today.

Don't think Elvis had had a day off either, so that's what I'm thinking there,

But once again, Rua probably should've been in LF today

Agreed, thought Desmond should sit down for a game and get himself together

I agree. And it's gonna get under my skin if he sucks again today, and then starts tomorrow too.

Last year it was game 17 when Banister moved Choo down in the batting order. He was hitting .119 after game 16. Maybe Desmond will have to struggle for close to that long before he gets moved either down or out of the lineup.

I hope he's not going to be that stubborn again.

And it sure seems like Desmond could use a day off. Not only is he not producing at the plate, but he's playing 2 new positions, with a new team, in a different league. Seems a tad on the daunting side to me.

The more I look at today's lineup the more puzzling it becomes.

We're "resting" 2 guys with hot bats, and playing 2 in their place who are struggling. Rest one today, and the other one tomorrow. On paper, this makes more sense to me.

But it ain't the end of the world, so I'm gonna try to relax and watch our sweep. ha
