pretty meh slate of games. after the texas a&m game i felt auburn would finish 9-3 with losses to alabama and 1 of the 3 @arkansas/@tennessee/georgia. here's hoping to being wrong

and if mizzou goes 5-3 (ole miss and atm still on schedule) and uga bests usc at 6-2, how will gamecock fans feel about losing a SECCG opportunity again?

Meh. Georgia can have that beatdown. But I think Auburn wins Saturday...I'm hoping Mizzou wins out, would like to see them play Bama in Atlanta.

you can't be serious. how can any self-respecting south carolina fan hope for missouri to win out? if they lose a game, south carolina is in great shape to reach atlanta and play for the sec title. surely you don't want to avoid that game because you might lose...?

A. TWO-TEAM TIE

1. Head-to-head competition between the two tied teams.
2. Records of the tied teams within the division.
3. Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall record (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
4. Overall record vs. all common non-divisional opponents.
5. Combined record vs. all common non-divisional teams.
6. Record vs. common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division.
7. The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game.

IN A TWO TEAM TIE WHY WOULDNT THE ISSUE BE RESOLVED AFTER THE FIRST CRITERIA ON THIS LIST?

B. THREE (OR MORE) TEAM TIE

1. (Once the tie has been reduced to two teams, go to the two-team tie-breaker format.)
2. Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams.
3. Record of the tied teams within the division.
4. Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
5. Overall record vs. non-division teams.
6. Combined record vs. all common non-divisional teams.

so mizzou would win in three way tie because they would have gone 5-1 in the east vs 4-2 for usc and uga?

10-2 record with no loss in the SECCG looks better to me than 10-3 or 9-4 and a lesser bowl game as a result.
