Top UGA football signee to work out for the Atlanta Braves | College recruiting blog

One of UGA’s top football signees will be working out for the Atlanta Braves before next month’s baseball draft.

Terry Godwin is a 5-star receiver from Callaway High School, and he signed a football scholarship with UGA last February.

Godwin is also a standout at third base for Callaway’s baseball team. He impressed a few scouts enough to earn an invitation to a pre-draft camp with other prospects for the Braves at Turner Field on May 28.

45 of the players who played in the 2011 Alabama vs LSU game ended up being drafted. That's just drafted, that's not counting any UDFA.

Not surprising in a game that went 9-6, 16 of the 22 defensive starters were drafted. 12 of them in the top 3 rounds.
