Another good play by DDJ.

His D has been well above what I think most of us expected. Fellas, his arm ain't never going to scare anyone. But frankly, I could care less if you can catch the ball, and produce offensively.....But his offensive mindset has me very concerned.....Bannister admitted that he'd fallen back into the 'power mind set' the other day on The Ticket, for about a month, but he's back on track now.......I don't want to disrespect anyone, but for crying-out-loud, I swear to ya, I'd fine him for hitting a home run, and give him bonus money for walks/singles/SB myself.

From having been at the game - in Sec 23, so there Mr DT - he seemed to have had a VERY high strike zone. Is this what you guys observed?
Seems like he was calling pitches to left handed batters outside and to right handed batters inside strikes that were not strikes. On both sides.

He was consistent for both teams, I thought. Right handed batters were definitely having issues with calls on the inside corner, especially on breaking balls

Mendez made me forget about the ump. They were both awful.

The story would be so much different losing all that development time. Plus Wash not playing him. Smh. I doubt we trade him

From the times I watched he was also calling pitches out of the zone towards 3rd base strikes which in this case really favored a RH whose pitch broke that way and not so much a LH.

Guess that means Trevino will get a start while Rua sits. Some may say he never got a fair chance.

They were saying that sabermetrics states you put your best hitter in the #2 spot. So we have DDJ. And just now against a LH he stepped towards 3rd when the pitch was thrown and flied out to RF. His approach at the plate is garbage right now.
