Thanks. I was trying to find some positive after they gave up 12 runs today. Things do look pretty good the rest of the way. If the starting pitching gets back to turning in good (or probably even decent) outings I think they'll finish out the season fine.

Harrison looked pretty good in his two innings earlier. I bet he is fine. The guy just needed to rest his arm I am hoping. His command and bite on his breaking stuff has just not been there, probably arm fatigue.

I hear ya but truthfully I think we're good with a 2 game lead going in - one win and we're in. We should be able to do it against them even against there three aces.

Plus it makes for good drama and momentum from a post season push for the winner!!

I think this thing I wrapped up by that final Seattle series. I don't see the Angels getting the mojo back that they had going into the last series in Arlington. They missed their opportunity then. They really stubbed their toe by not taking three of 4 in Seattle also. I don't see the Rangers losing a single series the rest of the way out.

Let's say the Rangers go 12-6 leading upto that final series. The Angels would have to go 17-2 in their remaining games to catch the Rangers, 16-3 to get to 1 game back, 15-4 to get to 2 games back and 14-5 to get to 3 games back.

The Angels will start at least 7 more times before the final series against the Rangers. Let's say that they split those seven games in favor of the Angels and go 4-3 in those games. The Angels would have to go 12-0 in the starts for Weaver, Harren and Santana to get to 16-3 and be 1 back.

I just don't see it happening folks.

Anyone notice that since Jaar1 declared the Ranger season over and TB sort of agreed with him the Rangers have now won 3 consecutive series. As I have said many, many times over the years it is not whether you fall down or not it is what you do to pick yourself up off the mat and rally. Rangers are a resilient bunch who know they are as good as ANY team out there. And that my friends is all it takes for them to win the world series this year.

i want our top 2 pitchers to get some rest before the playoffs start and the only way to do that is wrap it up before the Angel series and then we can rest CJ and ?
