Monday night.......runner on first.......ground ball to short.......close play at second .......close play at first
I thought a manager could only appeal one base.......and it had to be specified........
I was wrong......

The umpires.....I guess, they have the right to look at any part of the play.......The umpires talked to New York twice (I don't think they knew the rule either)......They looked at whether Baez had his foot on second base.........They looked at the play at first base......They looked at the runner sliding into second.......

You learn something everyday

They called the runner out at second ......safe at first.....

Most of the cameras suck ass. Why don't they use the high def ones they have in the playoffs? This shit looks like they recorded over the same VHS tape 5 times then ran a magnet over it for good measure.

I don't have a problem with replay in theory......I would like to see a 5th umpire in the booth at each ball park, looking at plays as they happen........so it doesn't take so long.. It seems major league baseball is trying to do it the CHEAP way.

They just copied the NHL. They have to get word from Toronto on their replays.

Replay can work, but they have screwed it all up. They just use it for HRs and done with it.

OR it really depends upon the two teams playing and WHAT network they are on. I know the Red Sox got the benefit of the doubt while on ESPN because ESPN is basically the only one with that angle (at least that's what they stated)
