No More "Bullpen Failure"
This guy must be Romeo. Lol
Launch him to Jupiter.
I'm good with Kelly. To put JHern and Yerry isn't going to work. And don't get me started on that idiotic trade. So I agree 100% with you.I would go ahead and bring up Kelly. He cannot be worse than Yerry and Grant. They could also bring up Anthony..... oh wait, no they can't.
He should have been a waiver wire pickup at best. But to trade a 23 year old pitcher with good minor league stats is a real head scratcher.1 for 12 to end 2023 regular season
2 for 19 in the postseason
0 for 4 for the Rangers in 2024
And folks wonder what we have against trading for Grossman.
Maybe the manager shouldn’t intentionally walk a guy hitting.216. Who would you rather face Cave or Blackmon. And put Wendzel who is hitting.071 over Smith who is hitting 299. Smith has been really good against lefties. Bochy blew this game.If Leody doesn't blow the lead I think we see Robertson and Yates. If anything just leave Anderson in to finish the inning. Never bring Yerry in at all cost. Like bringing White in.
Every game we lose is Bochy’s fault. Keep it 2-1 and I believe we have a different outcome. I hate we have Grossman. It will screw up so many things. I have a harder time with CY and why he thinks so little of building a solid BP. That trade was the straw that broke the camels back to just prove that. Instead Bochy keeps getting stuck with areas where he has to throw the dice and hope some miraculous event occurs and these has-been pitchers actually do something. But we still had a chance to win if Leody makes the play.Maybe the manager shouldn’t intentionally walk a guy hitting.216. Who would you rather face Cave or Blackmon. That is the bottom line. Play the game you are in.We had Robertson, Yates, and Leclerc tonight. There was no use saving them for what might happen tomorrow or the next day.
I wasn't able to see the game but just followed it. But there has been more complaints about the umpiring this year than any other season I can remember.I found it really interesting, and somewhat confounding, no one made note of what a horrible job the home plate ump did yesterday! And for BOTH teams. He just sucked out loud regardless of team or circumstance. Did anyone say something about this and I missed it? He called a 1st strike to one of our guys which was clearly 3/4 inches outside, and on the next pitch, he called his 2nd strike which was 3/4 inches inside! Y'all gotta come around to the calling of balls/strikes have to be taken away from the human element; especially if the human element includes Angel Hernandez!
That's pretty interesting to me b/c I get so few chances to watch, yet yesterday was one of them. I was astounded how many pitches he missed damn near every inning, and much was said by players/coaches from both teams. But at least he didn't go all Hernandez on them and start throwing people out of the game b/c his fucking 'authority' was offended. Also thought both dough outs did a decent job of not escalating this.I wasn't able to see the game but just followed it. Yeah, that is what a guy on Twitter told me. I am not buying it. They just couldn't pitch every game this series. We just had an off day. Pitching them yesterday would have probably meant resting them tonight.Looks like Kirby and DRob needed rest. They are older pitchers
Plan was to pitch LeClerc in 9th to close but alas
No Carter?
Oh, Bochy definitely makes mistakes, bullpen management in the regular season being the biggest example.Yeah, that is what a guy on Twitter told me. I am not buying it. Bochy chose to get it over with instead of not worrying about tomorrow(today now). I think it was a mistake. Who knows if they would have even been needed today.
The guy on Twitter has the opinion that Bochy never makes mistakes. Of course, I was eventually asked how many World Series I had won. Lol
He tried to play the next day game instead of the one he was in.Oh, Bochy definitely makes mistakes, bullpen management in the regular season being the biggest example.
I like him a lot but some of his decisions with who to play and when - bullpen and how he's using Carter and Smith, for example - leave me scratching my head.
