The schedule is going to get a little easier soon, but the Dodgers are improved from what they were earlier this year.

This team, if nothing else, is consistent. The team started out the year at 4-6 through the first 10 games.

If you divide the season so far up into 10 game increments they have been within 1 game of going 4-6 in each of the 10 game increments.

This year's Top 30 International Prospects list includes 10 players from Venezuela, 16 from the Dominican Republic, three from Cuba and one from Colombia. The positions break down like this: 11 outfielders, eight infielders, seven pitchers and four catchers.

The best athletes at premium positions are the most appealing to international scouts. Three of the top 13 are catchers and three of the top 10 are pitchers. Shortstops and center fielders are also highly coveted in this year's class.

The player on the top 30 list linked to the Rangers is catcher Jose Rodriguez, a catcher out of Venezuela who is described as perhaps the most advanced hitter from Venezuela this year, with MLB Pipeline citing scouts as comparing him to Brian McCann (though hopefully without the Fun Police persona). BA also mentions the Rangers being linked to Rodriguez, describing him as an “offensive-minded catcher with an advanced bat.”

Injuries and possibility of not being able to extend Mazara and Gallo makes me not want to pursue him. I think we are all sick of injuries and injury prone players.
