I just thought it was a funny thing to say - not particularly to you - hence "most guys." I'd say most of the forum posters here are for Lynch and they don't know Dak. ;)

I am not a Lynch guy at all... I do think he has more upside than Dak... but both are going to require time to develop... and since Lynch likely requires a trade up compared to Dak being available round 2 or 3? Give me that value.

How many more days until the draft? Hours? Minutes?

I appreciate the articles on Dak. He really does look like a possible good to great NFL QB. I loved the stat that he threw 86% of his passes from the pocket this past year and completed I think 68% of those passes. Shows how much he has really worked to become a QB not just a guy that can run and make a few throws a game. Also have to love that every year (of significant playing time) he increased his completion percentage. Again just shows his ability to work on what he is doing and improve.

Chip Kelly talks up Blaine Gabbert

HA HA - Kelly is such a dweeb - I'll bet John Elway has him read like a book. This sure doesn't sound like the 9ers are planning to play Kap - and why would they pay him that much to be 2nd fiddle?

I do not want Lynch either

I am actually not a fan of Goff or Wentz either, esp considering where they are projected to be taken and what it would require to go up and get them ..

I am not a fan of Hackenberg at all, anywhere

I would be excited about Dak, Cardale Jones or Connor Cook as those 3 guys have had positives that have jumped out at me while watching their games ..

Only QB's I'd like is Dak or C. Jones (Project wise) others meh. Connor Cook not interested. Hey I'm no personnel expert though. How does 2017 look QB wise?

I'm thinking that this class ('16) doesn't have much to offer at the QB position. I mean, when the guy most experts are touting as the number 1 guy is a division 2 player who started less than 20 games, it's not exactly the best sign. I am liking Wentz a little more, the more I see from him, but I think it's a bad year to need one and I hope we don't reach for one out of panic and it causes us to pass on someone from the next class or 2 because we're "married" to our bust from this class. That said, though, I do trust Elway and Kubes to fill the position, so who I like and don't like really doesn't matter all that much.

One guy that is starting to stick out to me, though, is Hackenburger. I think he got the raw deal in Penn State, where he wasn't surrounded by much in terms of talent and was recruited by Bill O'Brien who jumped ship after his freshman year, only to be replaced by Franklin and a whole new system that Hack wasn't a good fit in.

I also have absolutely no interest in Cook. I can't get past the fact that he was never voted captain of the team. It just doesn't sit well with me and makes you wonder about his leadership qualities.

I am warming up to Dak a bit more, though. It sounds strange, but I think that DUI put him in his place, for lack of a better term. He was a middle round guy for the longest time, then started climbing up the boards after the Senior Bowl. I saw some mocks sneaking him into the first round. But, he has dropped back down to the 3rd or 4th round where he started... also where I wouldn't mind drafting him.

As for next year, it looks like that dude from Clemson, Deshaun Watson (will be a junior, I think) and Brad Kaaya from the U (who will also be a junior) are the top 2. Watson is smaller (listed at 6'2") and mobile. Kaaya is more the prototypical size and seems to have a low INT rate. He lost some talent from his FR to SO year and still threw for over 3k and had 16 TDs and only 5 picks. If neither one of these guys declare, it looks like Jim Kelly's nephew would be the top man of the class. He seemed like an arrogant little prick when he got kicked out of Clemson a few years ago, but went to JuCo and transferred to Ole Miss. He started there last year and played well, throwing for over 4k with 31 TDs and 13 picks. If his attitude improved (which I guess it did or else he wouldn't have won the starting job), he could be one to keep your eye on.
