The Bucs are in my neck of the woods (well, it's more of a desert than woods, but you know what I mean) for a four-game set against the Diamondbacks, who are bad.

I'll be at Sunday's game, but let's focus on today's for now. Locke and Collmenter. We ought to win this one. And the rest of them, honestly.

Walker has to make that play. No need to go to the ground. Having gone to the ground, no need to stand up and set your feet. Cut it loose. That should have ended the inning.

Locke has lost his command suddenly. Giving away free outs like Walker did doesn't help him.

Locke's 3-1 pitch to Goldschmidt was outstanding. Just perfect.

Big (slightly lucky) strikeout of Goldschmidt ends the inning. That 3-1 change set up the next two pitches really well.

Martin has obviously been better this season as a hitter, and I think the big reason for that is that, even though he does still take aggressive cuts, he doesn't fly open nearly as much as he did last year.

That throw was fine from Pedro, not great, but shouldn't have been a problem for Davis. Hit his glove in the error. I fault Davis a great deal more for that 2-run error than Pedro.

Not I. It was a catchable throw for sure, but Pedro's throws have made the 1B gunshy. I'm sure Davis was expecting to have to dig the ball out of the dirt again.

Plus, the short range that Pedro had to throw that, there is no excuse that the ball should have arrived anywhere but chest level.

Walker ties the game up. Collimenter is not happy, and he's out of the game. I would guess we'll see Gaby come in to play first now.
