We had someone warm. Locke should have been out after the first baserunner he allowed. He didn't look good last inning, and yet Hurdle let him give up two home runs before coming to get him.

Two things: 1. I hate this umpire's strike zone. 2. That was a pretty double play, but that was a bit of a stretch even on the neighborhood play.

Too many missed opportunities yesterday. I came to see them, and the Bucs let me down.

But I'm still upset about the play which ended the game. I thought it was pretty clear interference in real time, and the replay pretty much confirmed that for me. He didn't slide at the bag, he half-jumped to start the slide, and he threw only his left hand up to get it in the way of the ball.

The MLB does not want lower-revenue, small market teams in the playoffs. It's bad for business.

The Pirates got their 20-year drought story last year, now it's not a novelty anymore so who needs them in the playoffs again.
