In our case, we do need the draft because we are coming out of a very deep shithole.
I basically called this, and it really wasn't even close. Idk how the Oilers even got to game 6. Florida set the Nhl record for time led in a Cup Final. This should've been over in 4 or 5 games if we're being real.Panthers make two-in-a-row burying the Oilers for Lord Stanley's Cup and that is the end of this season.

The Florida Panthers Have Proven You Don't Need To Build A Team Through The Draft To Win A Championship, Your Favorite GM Is Just A Coward

I have heard this somewhere before...hmmmmm
Actually, while I agree with the douchebag sentiment, he was off the ice for a game misconduct and couldn't return, I did hear he went and congratulated them in the locker room or some such shit. But yea I still think he's an over rated douche!I think everyone on here can agree Evander Kane is a huge douchebag for skipping the handshake line.![]()
Didn’t they basically dump their core on Vegas at their expansion “draft” ? If so, how in the world was Florida able to populate two Stanley cup winning teams ?I don't either, Maverick. We may see the Panthers do the first Three-Peat in modern Hockey or be the Fourth team to win multiple cups past 1964 and 1983.
They've done a little bit of everything, really. Some great draft picks (top 5, yes), some great trades and some great free agent signings. It's almost unfair, at this point. They are back to back Cup Champs, have no state income tax and you're living right near Miami. So, they probably can sign whoever they want in free agency or trade for whoever they want at the deadline because everyone wants to go there. That and any of the players that they want to re-sign will probably take the hometown discount to stay.Didn’t they basically dump their core on Vegas at their expansion “draft” ? Four of the last six cups have gone to a Florida team. They've done a little bit of everything, really. Some great draft picks (top 5, yes), some great trades and some great free agent signings. We have absolutely none of that going for us in Philly.
C’mon. Philly has a lot:They've done a little bit of everything, really. Some great draft picks (top 5, yes), some great trades and some great free agent signings. It's almost unfair, at this point. Because they built their team through trades and free agent signings. They know there is more than only one way to build a Stanley cup winning team.Didn’t they basically dump their core on Vegas at their expansion “draft” ? If so, how in the world was Florida able to populate two Stanley cup winning teams ?
100% on the money. I've been posting this for a while now, Don't forget a team like Dallas who was able to get themselves a player like Rantanen at the deadline because he forced a trade out. His list of teams to get traded to was only no state income tax teams. It may be them vs Florida next season. They need to do something about that advantage those teams haveFour of the last six cups have gone to a Florida team.
2025: Florida Panthers
2024: Florida Panthers
2021: Tampa Bay Lightning
2020: Tampa Bay Lightning
I think you are spot on with no state income tax. With the salaries they make, 8 - 10% can add up quickly. Add in Vegas and that's 5 of 6 to teams with no state income tax. Coincidence?rget ===100% correct I've been posting this for a couple of years.Dont foe
Over rated douche and wife beater.Actually, while I agree with the douchebag sentiment, he was off the ice for a game misconduct and couldn't return, I did hear he went and congratulated them in the locker room or some such shit. But yea I still think he's an over rated douche!
Today is a great day. Ian Lapierrere will officially not be coaching in the Flyers organization.
Gents, we have finally turned the corner.
