Actually, while I agree with the douchebag sentiment, he was off the ice for a game misconduct and couldn't return, I did hear he went and congratulated them in the locker room or some such shit. Didn’t they basically dump their core on Vegas at their expansion “draft” ? If so, how in the world was Florida able to populate two Stanley cup winning teams ?
They've done a little bit of everything, really. Some great draft picks (top 5, yes), some great trades and some great free agent signings. It's almost unfair, at this point. They are back to back Cup Champs, have no state income tax and you're living right near Miami. So, they probably can sign whoever they want in free agency or trade for whoever they want at the deadline because everyone wants to go there. That and any of the players that they want to re-sign will probably take the hometown discount to stay.
