The Penguin is an upcoming HBO Max series spinoff of Robert Pattinson's The Batman film that will replace Gotham Central / Gotham PD, which was cancelled during development.

Colin Farrell will be returning from the movie as the titular lead character. Cristin Milioti will co-star as Sofia Falcone, the mob princess daughter of Carmine Falcone and thus Selina Kyle / Catwoman's half-sister.

What a debut! That was a great opening episode, way better than Agatha All Along.

I just finished two episodes. Seems watchable so far. I think Iike Gotham better we'll see how the show evolves.

I'm thinking about watching this. I was just wondering if I have to remember stuff from The Batman to be able to watch this show because I haven't seen that in years.

1st episode does a pretty good quick recap. As long as you've seen The Batman you're good.

I watched most of the Batman movies but I'm not obsessed anything so I don't really know the backstories and all that. Watched the first 3 episodes of this and I love it. Not a huge fan of Colin Farrell but I remember when most thought he was just a pretty boy. He has evolved into a talent. Love his role in this one. If you didn't know he was in it, I would not have guessed it was him.

There has to be a Penguin 2 after that ending
