This basically excuses the whole 1919 Black Sox thing imo.

It'll be forgotten and still be in the books. The Red Sox are still tied for 3rd with 9 World Series titles.
Nobodys forgetting that. Lol. You're going to hear Asterisks for the rest of your life . they might have success with different players down the road but these past two years and the players involved will forever be tainted.

They just took Bagwell out of the hall of fame and decreed that the Astros have to wear their 1976 Uniforms all season. Manfred is out of control!
The ending could have used more exclamation marks, but overall, well done

I thought stealing signs was a part of baseball.

It wasn't the stealing of signs that got em in trouble. It was the use of technology to help them do it.
Its kinda like how nailing your sister-in-law isn't so bad but using chloroform to speed up the process can get you in trouble.

This means the Dodgers are actually the world champions - Not the Astros

Well, The Yankees and Red Sox would also have cases as well if the Astros were cheating the whole way that year.
Oh I agree - this creates a lot of doubt on a lot of organizations and quite frankly - I can see where the MLB could be severely damaged for the future by this and from what I have heard - it was quite sophisticated - a lot of players were involved. This is much bigger then the steroid issues. In fact now the last ten to 15 years of baseball beginning with the steroid use by players to this kind of nullifies most of the championships

This is going to have to be fixed. A radio headset between the managers and pitching coaches and an ear piece to the catcher.

Hitting, the same, manager, hitting and 3rd base coach.

Every other technology stays in the clubhouse and out of the hands of the players.

Or just keep technology out altogether.

That won't fly well with a lot of people, but it worked for 120 years before all of this bullshit.

Well, The Yankees and Red Sox would also have cases as well if the Astros were cheating the whole way that year.
No question about it - and here is the thing - the players were a huge part of it - they were banging out the signals on trash cans- you would think that some one would have noticed the strange patterns which comes down to the stupidity of the entire MLB - and why they have zero credibility - Bud Selig is really a douche - look how long it took for them to fix the steroid issue - Zero credibility here in the last two decades

I thought stealing signs was a part of baseball.
If a player recognizes certain patterns and relates them to signals - that's one thing - but using electronic surveillance equipment to listen in, and then have the players signal each other by banging and trash cans using a type of Morse code - is going a bit far too me... but I do have one question

At what point do we ask the question: Aren't the teams who got cheated(per se) just as stupid for not changing their signals going into the playoffs and changing the way they signal the players? Somewhere The Dodgers should have been smarter as well as the other teams. Baseball hasn't been that exciting to me any way - They just barely move past the steroids use and now this

The New York media is buzzing on what to do with Beltran, if Beltran (a player, not authority figure) gets blacklisted, does every player? If McCann wants to manage next year is he not allowed? If 10 years from now Altuve wants to manage is he blacklisted?
