By the MLB, doesn’t mean the individual Club won’t take action. Much like the Astros decided to fire the GM and manager after Manfred suspended them.

In the case of the Mets, they hired someone to manage who was implicated in the scheme as a player, so they make take action. They can always do some kind of presser with the GM and Beltran regretting his actions.

I think MLB just doesn't want to have that fight. The managers and coaches aren't in the players union, so they can destroy them and the managers and coaches have little recourse. If you try that with the players, you're going to get a big fight from the union, and I don't think they have the will or the stomach for that fight. They can just do this to the teams and managers/coaches and move on and hope it goes away and not have a prolonged legal fight.

Nah, they should be drummed out. Guys like A-Rod were completely unapologetic and belong to be mentioned with pro wrestlers like Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, not with guys who played the game honestly.

I have a low tolerance for cheating in any sport. I wish that MLB would do more and along the lines of the next five seasons that the Astros get to post season, the lose one home game per playoff round. Make the punishment fit the crime.
