By the MLB, doesn’t mean the individual Club won’t take action. Much like the Astros decided to fire the GM and manager after Manfred suspended them.

In the case of the Mets, they hired someone to manage who was implicated in the scheme as a player, so they make take action. They can always do some kind of presser with the GM and Beltran regretting his actions.

Remember when Cora orchestrated this cheating culture on the bench in Houston, then brought it with him to Beantown?

If not, don't worry, you're gonna hear all about it in the coming days and weeks.

IMO championships should have been revoked for Astros and Red Sox. Houston and Red Sox managers should be banned for life. Otherwise MLB is no better then the WWF.

I think MLB just doesn't want to have that fight. The managers and coaches aren't in the players union, so they can destroy them and the managers and coaches have little recourse. If you try that with the players, you're going to get a big fight from the union, and I don't think they have the will or the stomach for that fight. They can just do this to the teams and managers/coaches and move on and hope it goes away and not have a prolonged legal fight.

    Agreed 100%

Never happen, but I think they should have to vacate that WS.

Who did Carlos Beltran work for in 2019? I'll hang up and listen.

I like that Hinch and the GM (whose name I am too lazy to search) got shytcanned. But hard for me to swallow that that owner wasn't aware? But, I get it. He owns the team he's not getting fired.

As I wrote earlier, any bad thing that happens Houston fully deserves. How many balls will Manfred show and now go after Boston?

Definitely not my wish, I'd have kept all the cheats out.

But since we have some obvious juicers in now, why bother acting so high and mighty about it?

It’s not all that obvious. The guys who admitted and/or were caught red-handed aren’t in. That’s the last frontier.

I have a low tolerance for cheating in any sport. I wish that MLB would do more and along the lines of the next five seasons that the Astros get to post season, the lose one home game per playoff round. Make the punishment fit the crime.

Yes they did. It's why Crane dropped the hammer down. He doesn't want banners or trophies to start getting ripped away.

    https://www.si.com/mlb/2020/01/13/houston-astros-cheating-punishment

"Two sources familiar with the investigation, which lasted three months and included more than 70,000 e-mails and 60 interviews, said various Astros personnel told MLB investigators about eight other teams who used technology to steal signs in 2017 or 2018–such was the culture of the time."

One had to be the Red Sox.
    That leaves seven other teams.
Any thoughts as to who they might be?

Its true . no one will think the Astros and Redsox are the champs other than their own fans and even they know it wasn't legit.

It'll be forgotten and still be in the books. The Red Sox are still tied for 3rd with 9 World Series titles.
