Both UCLA and USC have their chances to make it back in the polls. I mean I don't see USC staying in the top 25 with that schedule, but win games and they could prove that wrong. Lots of strength of schedule there to use to get back up.

UCLA got bumped out hard as they were 16 last week, but that's what happens when you lose to an unranked team.

Last time Washington was ranked this high was Nov 2001.

Unreal.

Got to love what Petersen is building. But plenty more to prove once PAC play starts.

I expect that we'll likely be 1-3 or maybe 2-2 after the first 4 games. Then I think we should have a pretty good shot at going 3-1 or 4-0 over the next 4.

Then, our last 4 games are Oregon, Washington, UCLA and Notre Dame. Hopefully, we can improve enough to go 2-2 or 3-1 over those games.

so both USC and UCLA fell completely out
I dont see a problem with it, especially USC. Neither will have trouble getting back in if they look good in the next week or two.

It would probably take two wins to get USC back in the rankings. This week, Utah St. wont be enough.

No but win both this week and next and that should do it. I just don't see USC beating Stanford tho.

No it won't. You'll need to beat some of the overrated PAC 12 teams first.

USC starting 1-3 wouldn't surprise me. 1-4 would be nice as it means you guys lose to the Sun Devils, but realisiticly, I think 2-3 after 5 is where you'll be.

Anyone else see the irony of the resident ASU fan calling other pac teams overrated?

But I think they'll be back too. Mora just needs to slap Rosen upside the head and remind him to think a little before throwing. He had 3 (?) interceptions against aTm, I don't think that will be the norm.

The dubs have a lot of hype to live up to. Not like the under the radar ducks...role reversal, the Duck now has the hunting rifle. ;)
I wouldnt say that. The Huskys wpuld probably be cool with a 10 win season and a loss in the CCG. For the Ducks that would be further proof that that aren't where they were with Chip running the show. Id say Ducks are trying to hang on more than under the radar.

LOL. Long time Oregon fans have enjoyed the ride for the last 15 years or so. Before that, it was USC and Washington that were the powers in the PAC 10. Hell, I remember the days when a successful season was making ANY Bowl Game. How times have changed, you have a point. But the doom and gloom mumbo jumbo spewed out about the decline of the Ducks is highly overrated. Oregon will be fine, I can see at least 10 wins and a continued streak against the puppies on the horizon.

And, from 7-6 to playoffs? Not going to happen.

Well if Oregon doesnt end up being a top ten team again Id say thats a decline concidering the glory days of Chip saw the Ducks in the top five for most of those years.
