Typical Ducks. Brag about something but under further review you are totally wrong and clueless. what will you brag about now?
still wasn't bragging pointing out that you said 3 but it was much greater than 3

I showed both statements were wrong. lol. Other Schools have more athletes at the games in total ,including three PAC schools. In Track Oregon doesn't have the most. And if you watched all 141 US track athletes compete there is NOT a good chance the one you are watching is a DUCK.Unless you consider less than 3% a good chance. If you do, you should go to Vegas because there's a good chance you go broke.
Is that clear enough for both of you?

Eh, we all make mistakes. I totally omitted the fact that you prefaced the international Oregon reps as such. But then again, there you were, changing the argument. :cool2:

So remember, when you're doing your counting, the original statement was about the 'good chance the US athlete' would be a Duck.
Just remember if you're watching any of the Rio track and field events this summer there's a good chance the US athlete is a Duck.

is it still changing it if my numbers supported my argument that Oregon had more than 3 even if I didn't count international?

Jim was obviously wrong about three. (I'm not sure, but I think that is current Duck students, isn't it?)

The point is, the original statement by CCF is false.
You're okay here in my book Oly, but I'm pretty sure @CCF151 doesn't like facts!

Jim is right about the 'good chances' and all.

Again. Look at the size of the team and tell me if you watch the games " good chance the USA athlete a Duck"

again look at anything I wrote and that you argued to me that said I said that.
% wise yes the statement is wrong but Oregon still has the largest number on the track team of former and current than any other college for Track and Field and it is greater than 3. where have I been wrong?

You would be wrong Oly only because you joined in with an ongoing discussion. Backing up the original statement as you did, IMO makes it inherent to your argument, regardless of whether or not you wrote it or made the statement yourself because it was the basis of the discussion.

If you look at my previous post according to the NCAA three days ago three PAC schools have more former and current athletes at the games than Oregon. I haven't had the time nor really want to go up and down the list to separate men and women and swimmers and basketball players or what ever. But the fact is Oregon is just another school with current or former students there . You and the other Duck make it sound like it's duck city in Rio.

Jesus, is it football season yet? :L

Page after page of minutia slap fighting is growing really old.

When will real football talk bring some sanity back?

Got my tickets which always means we are getting close.

Bring on some games!

Girls, please.
Olympics 2016: Colleges With Most Team USA Athletes

Break down of US athletes by which school they went to. Includes both current and graduated students.

Doesn't break down JUST track, but it's silly to squabble over subsets of teams like that anyway.

Ducks have a grand total of 11 athletes there across all sports. It's not tops in the Pac. USC and UCLA have more and UW has the same. Stanford leads ALL with 30!

Can we go back to just arguing over uniforms and QB's now. :L

Oh they will claim that more of theirs are track than the others or some such irrelevant nonsense.

The fact is Stanford is the total king of these Olympics and it's not even close for second place. How impressive is it that they have more than double the number of athletes of the next highest school? That's just flat out insane. So while it's still not accurate to suggest if you are seeing a US athlete it's more likely to be a tree, it's FAR more accurate than saying Oregon. Yet as a population of the entire team they are all fractional.
