I am sorry but every time I hear people say BowDown I think of this track from my senior year in college.

Athlon Sports releases its pre-season top 25 for 2016 and.......holy catfish. :faint2:

11. Washington

Washington: The Huskies are poised for a breakthrough year in Chris Petersen’s third season. Talented sophomores Jake Browning and Myles Gaskin are two of the Pac-12’s top players on offense, while the defense returns eight starters from a unit that allowed only 18.8 points a game last year.

12. Stanford

Stanford: Stanford has won three of the last four Pac-12 titles, but David Shaw’s team was hit hard by personnel departures. However, the Cardinal still has enough returning talent to challenge for the conference title — especially with running back Christian McCaffrey leading the way.

15. UCLA

UCLA: Similar to rival USC, UCLA enters 2016 with its share of questions. However, the Bruins return the Pac-12’s top quarterback in Josh Rosen, and the schedule is more manageable than the Trojans’ brutal slate. The defense returns eight starters, and standout end Eddie Vanderdoes is back from injury.

23. USC

USC: Clay Helton’s first full season on the job features one of the nation’s toughest schedules, a quarterback battle and a completely revamped defensive line.

24. Oregon

Oregon: The Ducks hope another FCS transfer (Dakota Prukop) is the right answer at quarterback. There’s no shortage of skill talent on offense, but the line must replace three starters. Brady Hoke is tasked with improving a defense that surrendered 37.5 points a game.

Whole list available here.

116th out of like 125? and still won 9 games. I have a hard time believing they fall farther

You could be better on defense and win 8. You're not thinking that some team you beat last year could be better than they were also. Every year people think their defense or offense should be better and rule out that theres someone on the other side of the ball

Come on man. Oly finally loosens up a bit and makes a joke. At least acknowledge it.

lets see, Oregon demotes their DC who was a positional coach who was promoted to DC, and they hire a head coach to take over the DC position.

Yeah, Ducks are going to improve on D.

3-star WR Ty Jones (Provo, UT) has committed to Washington. His offers included BYU, Utah, and Utah St. Kid is 6'4".

Huskies WR class going for the length with 6'1, 6'2, and 6'4. Our new WR coach got busy right out of the gate. Looking good.

I believe BYU is the only FBS Div1 school that has the Mormon missionary exemption which allows players to take 1-2 years off in-between their years of playing eligibility if they choose to do so.

If a Mormon kid commits to Washington or other programs, they would have to wait till after their college playing days are over to take that time off for missionary work.

I'm not sure what happens with lower divisions for sports like football or basketball.

I think many of the Mormon kids playing at the FBS schools do mission work during summers when their out of school for a few months each year.

You sure about that? I think ND recently (past four years) had a kid go on a Mormon mission in year two and rejoin the team. I know USC knew that Damien Mama could possibly go on a mission after his freshman year. I doubt only one school would be given that exemption since Mormons are free to attend any college. I think BYU has something different about playing and not playing on certain days.

unless thats a new thing I dont think thats true. I remember a few players doing so. Hamani Stevens of Oregon did it and i think Utah is losing Covey this year for a mission.
