I was just thinking about mamba seeing that people think it's that close between those two schools after a few (ok more than a few) years of domination by the Ducks.

That is all commendable. And yes - you may ask when and where I (or anyone) served. You have certainly more than earned that right.

My point is that it is one thing to denigrate a specific degree program for lacking rigor (see any of my comments in re: North Carolina's African and Afro-American Studies program, for example), but quite another to claim some kind of superiority by denigrating an entire university. I don't like Oregon football either, but c'mon. Let's be reasonable.

Oregon actually overal isnt a highly ranked school only Education is ranked, 12th nationally.

You still take the upper division classes is my understanding. The long and the short of it is you mix and match 2 majors into one, which is easily exploitable for athletes and slackers and useful to a select few that want to go for something very specific.

My experience is that those are the ones who double major. But my experience is limited, I suppose.

More often than not they would double major. I'm not saying it's a great degree or something the best and brightest are taking advantage of on a frequent basis- More often than not it's probably just a piece of paper like any other non STEM diploma that serves the purpose of helping you get into grad school. I'm just explaining what the purpose was.
