To our Oregon brothers, how the hell did the Timbers go from a playoff team and winners of the cascadia cup a year ago to dead last in the league? 0 wins in 8 games. They are the Mariners of MLS? :noidea:

Their season started?

It's almost May. For many of us baseball season ends there. Seems those of you that were jumping on the Timbers bandwagon last year have been jumping off this year. Makes sense I guess. After all these years of failed baseball we are doing the same thing.

Don't know who was doing that, but I haven't watched a single Timbers game since their MLS promotion. Who gives a flying fuck about Soccer.

Its not about an Oregon recruit, his story is just part of it. If I remember correctly he was one of 4 from the school in one class.

He's the one who gets killed and is the focus of the movie from what I can see from the pre view. Tragic thing to happen he sounded like a great kid.

To me the movie was about a team with an amazing winning streak that got broken and how a team and coach and community deal with that. then the loss of a team mate and moving on from that. then a health scare for the coach and moving on from that. and i am sure there were other events that the team had to deal with.

Nice interview with Coach Shawy here.

Coach's Corner: Stanford's David Shaw

My favorite quote, with regards to 8 vs. 9 conference games:
we talked about that in our conference. Steve Sarkisian was one of the guys who said it. "Hey, if I can schedule a game between Oregon and Stanford that's a break of a game for me, great. I'd love to do that."But we can't do that, you know. So for me, yes, I hope they all go to nine games just like we are.
Does that constitute shots fired?

Story on Chris Petersen and his move to UW as well as looking forward to his first season.
Under a more anonymous Chris Petersen, Washington aims to break out
At the bottom is their picture preview of the top 25. Looks like UW is at 18 and of course the usual suspects are around the top 10 in Oregon, Stanford, and UCLA.

A look at the Arizona defense after spring ball. Lots of breakdowns.
Rodriguez says defense is becoming the unit he wants : Football

A look at the WSU spring game. Of course Halliday threw a few picks and the gray almost came back to beat the crimson team, but what can you really take away from a spring game that breaks up your team to try to create two fairly evenly matched teams?

Mora on dealing with the high expectations and 'noise' around his program this year.
Expectations will be high for UCLA football - latimes.com

Oregon had some World War II vets at a practice recently. Video of it here.

^ What Whiz, no news on me Beavs? You hiding something I don't know again?

Well, well...well...Looks like the Beavs may have THEE best LBs in the PACer this coming year? Gawd that would be nice to have. Maybe Banker's 3-4 base D is still alive-n-kicking this coming year. Be a "fine time" to implement the 3-4 IF our LBs are healthy all year.

Our O-line aint to shabby either...HELLO run da rwak time and with Mannion throwing darts, things are L@@KING solid there as well.

Let's snap that ball already, I like what I see and hear these dayz.:yahoo:
