That wine bit would be funny if it made sense :noidea: Isn't cali wine country? Probably makes more sense for the USC spritzer boys.

But also since you know I'm dealing with alcoholism from our oldest and rarely drink because of it makes me wonder what kind of person you are. :tsk:

Oh, and last time I drank it was a couple of deschutes black buttes. We are beer snobs up here big time, not so much wine.

Yeah those pesky LaLaLand boyz need a massage before doing their yard work I spose.

You probably wouldn't like me Whiz...tho those BB porters are worth a share.

Sorry to hear ya have the disease bro, moderation is always the key when dealing with anything addictive. Might I recommend a series of suggestions for your "on going" fight...

1) Drink more...helps to forget about all the bad things.

2) Did I say "drink more"?...as often as you can, you'll save on mouthwash.

3) Follow 1 and 2 daily... you'll save on rehab costs.

Nothing wrong with being an alcoholic as long as it does not have a negative impact on your health, work life or family/friends.

^ Yep...Don't forget about those 3-4 Martini lunches thruout your workday either, no need to deprive your body of what it craves daily either.

Now that Whiz has the tools he needs, lets get back to talking football!

Wine country is in Northern California.

Although, I have to admit that the wine country tours are a big part of the reason that USC fans and alums insisted on Stanford being the 1 Northern Division team that we play every year.
You play cal every year as well. All 4 Cali schools play each other every year. It was part of the agreement made when the conf went to 12 teams. The Cali schools didn't want to miss out on the games in their state for the same reason every other team in the conf wants at least one road game in Cali every year. Best recruiting grounds in the conf.

It's not me that's the alchy. My step daughter was a brilliant writer. She was in an advanced high school program that had her going to college every day for part of her school day and should have had her 2 year degree when she graduated from high school. But the alcohol got her. Took her another 5 years of half assing it to get her AA and by then she was so entrenched in the party life style that she still hasn't done anything with it and she just turned 29. She is a waitress in a casino and has been trapped there for many years.

The problem is she doesn't puke. Ever. So she drinks heavily and absorbs every damn drop of it. She has blacked out many times. It's a wonder she hasn't ended up in the hospital for alcohol poisoning at some point.

So yeah, when you watch booze totally destroy a very bright and promising future for someone it's kind of a buzz kill for your own enjoyment of it.

As a footnote, she has now been clean for 5 months. Before this effort the longest she had ever gone without a drink since she was a teenager was one week. Her boyfriend is a recovering alcoholic as well. She has been working toward going back to school, but I'll believe it when I see it.

I've told you all before about my step daughter and her alcoholism. It's not me with the problem. I still drink, just not that often. In fact I mainly drink during football season at the tailgaters. I think I have drank 3 times since the end of football season. Have a bottle of fireball and a jagermeister in the freezer that have been there for months.

That is extremely unfortunate. Hope she can continue getting her life together.

(He's got on one of his Seahawk Super Bowl hoodies) Now this becomes one of those man son moments as folks in 49er gear is staring at him, I look at him and say, "well son since you cashed in your Eagles gear for Seahawks gear I will not help you out of this curb stomp your about to recieve!"

^ T-minus 6 days and counting Mamba...:suds:

huge game is huge, Could decide who Portland plays, win and it is Houston where there is an actual chance to advance.

Lose and Portland has the Clippers. That would not be good. They are playing very good.

Clippers vs Warriors would be an unbelievable series anyways.

^ hmmmm...

Seems like the Blazers have played better against the Clipps this year, but I don't know. These type of games WILL BE tanked IF a club wants to play the lesser of the two evils in the 1st round of playoffs...seen it before.

ya, last time Portland played LAC Griffin owned us.

Rockets are shaky right now. Howard's health is questionable. Much better chance against Houston imo.

Well mcnabb, that's not how I thought the lesson was going to go.

If appropriate, I always wear LA gear of some sort when flying however I'm not the littlest of dudes either.

How was Hawaii?
