Actually that's what makes the Neb game last year hurt even more. Oregon has 2015 3rd team All American and 1st team All Pac 12 kicker Aiden Schneider. #2 in the country in FG accuracy and 9th in scoring. Won the Vlade award which is given by the touchdown club of Columbus for college football's most accurate kicker.

Vlade Divac has a college football award named after him? That's pretty cool.

Wait, you mean Oregon did have a kicker on their roster all this time? For real?

Then what the absolute fuck were they doing over there?

Wow. Who woulda thunk it?
Did he handle kickoffs too? We did see that guy a lot.

What kills me is Oregon actually got the first 2 point conversion. They got the "edge" and just kept going for 2 anyways.

Utah and WSU also reportedly offered him as well.

6'6 and 330lbs. That's a big boy right there.

3 time Australian golden gloves heavyweight boxing champ and high level rugby player. So likely not a potted plant on the line.

He's projected to be a OG for the Huskies. And with that, the Huskies have completed recruiting for the Oline for this class which is a nice feeling. 1 RB to commit and were about done for that side of the ball. The rest will be D.

Given that he is a Gold Gloves boxer and high level rugby player, it's probably football experience that he's lacking.
This is one of those examples of the disconnect between the recruiting star system and team evaluations.

Utah offered the kid last year during his sophomore season. He started out on the D line a couple of years ago before switching to the O line and finding his fit on that side of the ball. In his first year ever playing football he ended up first team all league on the D line.

BTW, he's on the Polynesian highschool players of the year watch list so there's that. Scout had him listed as the 7th top OT on the west coast.

Really odd that he's listed at 3*s with so many that high on him.

Agree. That's why I never get too excited (I know you don't either) over star ratings. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's nice to look at recruiting and see lots of 4 and 5 star guys committing.

But, at the end of the day, that 3 star guy who may just need more experience/size/coaching can often end up being better than the 4 or 5 star guys signed ahead of him.

He didn't start playing football until high school. He's still rated in the top 10 for OTs on the west coast this year so the talent is there. And no lack of toughness with that rugby and boxing background. Versatile lineman who can play multiple positions for you depending. That's the ticket.
